Welcome to Rootsong, a community-oriented celebration of Mama Gaia and the only reforesting festival in the Southern and Eastern Cape.
Hosted at Well-Being Sanctuary as a collaboration between Ecolution Project and the Precious Tree Project, this gathering is about more than planting trees – it’s about restoring living systems and supporting the emergence of a sustainable wildlife corridor in the Ruigtevlei area near Sedgefield.

Wildlife Corridors
Supporting habitat connectivity so terrestrial and aerial species can move, migrate, and thrive across landscapes. Engage with talks, installations, and workshops exploring biodiversity protection.
Forest Rehabilitation
Participate in tree-planting ceremonies and ecological restoration work, including invasive species management. Guided forest walks offer a direct encounter with regeneration in action.
Permaculture & Regenerative Living
Explore practical approaches to ecological design through workshops on composting, rainwater harvesting, agroforestry, and natural building systems.

Whether you prefer a shady spot or basking in the sun, our glamping village offers an array of tents with carpeted floors, pillows, and soft quality bedding.
Our 5m Bell tents are spacious enough to stand up in, allowing you to move freely and comfortably.
From your tent, enjoy the rolling green of lush meadows, and the beauty of the fairy forest.
You also have the option to book one of our seven, absolutely stunning, fully furnished Yurts.
Positioned along the ridge overlooking Swartvlei Lake, they offer the convenience of having your own en suite bathroom with gas-heated shower.
